Scatec Engineering invites unemployed graduates to apply for Graduate / Internship Programme 2021 / 2022.

Internship Location: Cape Town

We are currently looking for Interns in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Intern you will be required to identify and screen potential locations for floating solar PV (FPV) development. This includes screening countries for water-bodies and gathering data to facilitate assessment and ranking of potential opportunities.

Main responsibilities 

  • Gather site specific data on each of these water bodies for evaluation
  • Screen countries of interest and identify potential FPV sites
  • Power Production: Capture any in country knowledge or information to facilitate assessments
  • Rank locations for further development
  • Evaluate, based on pre-defined criteria, the potential locations
  • Solutions: Understand constructability requirements and information gathered on FPV

Qualifications and competencies 

  • Education: Degree in progress in:
  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: within renewable energy (particularly PV/FPV) is Advantageous
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Advantage: Has knowledge of Google Earth or similar GIS mapping programs
  • Advantage: Has knowledge of PowerBI
  • Good at using Powerpoint and writing reports
